Established in 1976, Mississauga Board of Trade proudly serves as a chamber of commerce for the sixth largest city in Canada – the third largest city in Ontario – with a population of over 700,000 residents. Mississauga is the location for over 53,000 businesses employing over 440,000 people, including 59 of Canada’s Fortune 500 offices. Mississauga Board of Trade represents approximately 1,500 businesses in Mississauga. MBOT is well positioned to address the needs of business by using its considerable influence at all levels of government, allowing for the opportunity to be part of a strong and unified voice in advocating and taking the lead in effecting change and growth in local, provincial, national and global markets.

The Board of Directors is the governing body which effects and establishes policy for Mississauga Board of Trade. Together with Executive Committee, it serves as the decision maker for the organization, and works to create a meaningful strategic direction and ensure the financial well-being of MBOT. Directors are collectively the representatives of the membership and are charged with the responsibility of exercising visionary leadership; establishing values and goals; setting policies and procedures; supporting the employees and volunteers of Mississauga Board of Trade; and respecting them as partners in advancing the MBOT mission. MBOT’s Board of Directors is comprised of individuals with varied business backgrounds and a broad range of skill sets, viewpoints and business expertise. These dedicated individuals represent the business community to promote and further business in Mississauga. MBOT’s Board of Directors is comprised of member companies represented by individuals with varied business backgrounds covering a broad range of expertise, viewpoints and experience. These dedicated individuals represent Mississauga’s business community. Our Board of Directors is structured to achieve a balanced representation of business sectors and sizes (small, medium and large).
