Dave will be speaking on...

Antidote to Apathy – 7 Barriers to Engagement

Local politics — schools, zoning, council elections — hit us where we live. So why don’t more of us actually get involved? Is it apathy? Dave Meslin says no. His in-depth version for NSB clients of his celebrated but abbreviated TED talk, further explores the 7 barriers that keep us from taking part in our communities and organizations, even when we truly care. Meslin encourages us to recognize apathy as a web of barriers that reinforce disengagement – and that we can work together to dismantle the obstacles.
