Energy Support Workshop (10:00 am – 11:00 am)

Join us after the event for a 1-hour technical workshop with local energy experts. This session is designed to provide you with extra support and an opportunity to learn energy management best practices, how to prioritize energy efficiency projects, discuss your energy challenges, and learn how to use more tools to help you improve your energy efficiency and save.

The Mississauga Know Your Power event will feature a workshop from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with energy experts Stephen Dixon and Garth White.

Stephen Dixon, B.Sc., M.A.Sc.

Stephen Dixon, has for over 27 years, provided energy management services to a broad range of industrial, commercial, institutional and utility organizations. Broadly recognized as a leader in energy management training, his focus is simple; to empower all that he works with to use energy more effectively by developing individual skills, organizational best practices and providing tools for energy management. Stephen, with more than 35 years of energy management experience, including 800+ energy assessments, over 1,700 energy management workshops, has inspired over 25,000 individuals from more than 1,000 organizations. Stephen holds a Master’s Degree in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor or Physics from the University of Prince Edward Island.

Garth J. White CEM, CDSM, CEA, IE, CME, Master Electrician

Garth White practices as a freelance energy management coach as principal of Qui Tunc Inc.
He serves a diverse portfolio of organizations, including a plethora of governmental agencies, energy suppliers, market authorities, NGOs and other consultants toward effective demand-side management strategies, prudent conservation programs and lucrative cost-avoidance initiatives.
Also, Garth has encouraged and inspired tens of thousands of energy end-users to appreciate and integrate better energy management practices and sustainability related measures.
He has actively participated in many hundreds of energy end-use and management system assessments and facilitated in excess of fifteen hundred energy management workshops and educational interventions spanning across four continents.In 2000, Garth was awarded Certified Energy Manager accreditation by the Association of Energy Engineers, of which he was also designated a Life Member.
